Maison Meï / Domaine Saint Jean

Logo Maison Mei.jpegIt's another family story, led by cousins Benjamin Meï and Bernard Meï. The Meï family has been strongly integrated in the local economy, and has built relationships with the winegrowers of the area over four generations. After joining forces to create their own wine and trading company based in Aix-en-Provence, Benjamin and Bernard launched their first cuvée in 2015 earning many awards and accolades. On the strength of this success, they acquired Domaine Saint Jean in 2019; and thus was born Maison Meï, bringing together the pursuit of branded wines and viticulture.

Located in the heart of the region Provence-Alpes-Côte d’Azur, between the Luberon mountains and the Mediterranean Sea, Domaine Saint Jean extends over thirty-five hectares. Here, the vineyards benefit from an exceptional Mediterranean climate characterized by hot, dry summers and mild, humid winters. The presence of the Mistral - a strong, localized wind - further augments a healthy vineyard environment by providing  protection against disease. The entire estate has a level 3 HVE (High Environmental Value) certification. This voluntary approach promotes the most environmentally friendly practices with regard to water management, biodiversity, and avoidance of biocontrol agents.
