Tenentino Sangiovese di Romagna

Site: The Sangiovese is planted at about 250m altitude, in clay/calcareous soils, with a SW exposition. Yields are about 60 HL/Ha. Vineyards are guyot and spurred cordon. Density from 3k to 6k vines per hectare.

Grapes: Sangiovese “in purezza” (100%), hand-picked in it’s first period of ripeness (as soon as it is ripe, i.e. very fresh).

Fermentation and Aging: Gently crushed and destemmed. Fermented in stainless steel at temperature no greater than 30ºC, without any further post-fermentation maceration. After a period of maturation in stainless steel, the wine is bottled and after a brief refinement in bottle, goes to market.

Notes: Flowery aromas of violet and red pulp fruit with hints of aromatic herbs.
