Pinot Bianco

P.Bianco.jpgWinery: Cantina Bolzano / Santa Magdalena
Region: Alto Adige
Locale: Bolzano, Italy
Appellation: Alto Adige
Designation: DOC

In a few words: Joe says, "I'm flabbergasted by the quality and value of this wine. A true Truffle Dog Discovery!"

Site: From 400-600 m high vineyards on the western side of the Adige Valley (morning sun). Porphyry, sand and gravel.

Grapes: 100% Pinot Bianco

Fermentation and Aging: Temperature controlled stainless steel until spring of the year following the vintage.

Notes: Weissburgunder is the German name for Pinot Bianco. We think the quality of the regular Pinot Bianco comes rather close to that of its famous cousin, Santa Magdalena’s prize-winning Dellago. Signature balance, with tremendous varietal character and long finish. Perfect as an aperitif, paired with asparagus or mussels, fish or vegetarian dishes.
