In a few words: This is truly one of Italy's finest Pinot Biancos. But don't take Joe's word for it. Multiple times it has received the coveted Tre Bicchieri award from Gambero Rosso.
Site: From a single vineyard of fantastic Pinot Bianco 450 m up the slope of the western side of the Adige Valley (morning sun). Porphyry, sand and gravel.
Grapes: 100% Pinot Bianco
Fermentation and Aging: Temperature controlled stainless steel until spring of the year following the vintage with a small portion (about 15%) maturing for 6 months in seasoned barrique.
Notes: It's really rare to find a Pinot Bianco that offers such age worthiness. Keep this for a few years and you'll be rewarded with even more complexity.
