Luna d'Agosto.jpegWinery: Ca' del Baio
Region:
Piedmont
Locale: Treiso (Barbaresco)
Appellation: Langhe Chardonnay
Designation: DOC

In a few words: This fresh and fruity wine will remind you fondly of summer - no matter the weather!

Site: Calcareous marls mixed with high percentages of sand.

Grapes: 100% Chardonnay harvested in early September.

Fermentation and Aging: Grapes undergo soft pressing and vinification is carried out inside temperature-controlled steel tanks. Malolactic fermentation is not performed, in order to preserve the wine’s fresh and young characteristics.

Notes: Straw yellow in color with greenish highlights; delicately floral and fruity, with notes of citrus and exotic fruits. Dry and cool on the palate, with a long finish and a slightly mineral aftertaste. Makes an excellent aperitif if served fresh. Ideal with meat and vegetable hors-d’oeuvres, grilled and baked fish, fresh cheeses.

This wine should be drunk young, during the first months of the new year following the harvest. If well-preserved, it will remain delicious up to 2 years after bottling.
