Winery: Moroder
Region: Marche
Locale: Montacuto, Italy
Appellation: Marche
Designation: IGT
In a few words: Reminiscent of wild cherry and rose.
Site: Grown organically in the winery’s estate vineyards.
Grapes: 70% Montepulciano, 15% Sangiovese, 15% Alicante
Fermentation and Aging: Saigné, stainless steel.
Notes: Named for the family’s village, this is a delicately perfumed, European-styled rosé with amazing floral notes and serious-wine structure. Both in the color and on the palate, there is a pronounced expression of the wild cherries of May, characteristic of the Marche region. The warm alcoholic content and tanginess make it an assertive, structured and perfectly balanced wine. Perfect with cured meats, vegetable or meat pie, and tomato-based first courses.
