Designation: DOC

In a few words: An oenological gem distinguished by its complexity and depth. Full-bodied, smooth, and easygoing.

Site: Vineyards are located in Tregnago, at an altitude between 350-560 meters above sea level. Glacial morainic soil composition. Vines are 10-20 years of age, trained in the Guyot method. Harvest begins at the end of September; grapes are carefully selected and hand-picked.

Grapes: Corvina, Corvinone, and Rondinella

Fermentation and Aging: The grapes are destemmed and pressed. Maceration takes place at around 20° C, followed by fermentation lasting 15 days at a slightly raised temperature of 20-24° C. The wine is then run off its skins, which are then softly pressed, and goes into inert vessels until the winemaking process of Amarone is finished, at which time it is poured on Amarone's marc to go through a second fermentation, which lasts about 15 days. The wine is then aged for 24 months in wood vessels.

Notes: Deep ruby red in color. On the nose, it offers a rich and enveloping bouquet with notes of chocolate, flowers, and plum, integrated with nuances of wild honey, vanilla and cinnamon. This olfactory complexity translates into an equally intriguing palate, where the flavors meld in perfect balance. Full-bodied and smooth, this wine pairs splendidly with grilled meats gourmet pizza, or main courses of pasta or risotto with pumpkin, sausage or mushrooms.
