Rosso di Montepulciano

gracciano-rosso.jpgWinery: Gracciano della Seta
Region:
Montepulciano
Locale:
Gracciano, Italy
Appellation: Rosso di Montepulciano
Designation: DOC

In a few words: The freshness of youth: cheerful, attractive, sometimes pleasantly unpretentious. A little big wine!

Site: Vines grow in the clay and silty soil on the hills of Gracciano - one of the oldest and most prestigious crus of Montepulciano - at 300-350 meters above sea level.

Grapes: Prugnolo Gentile 90%, Merlot 10%

Fermentation and Aging: Fermentation and maceration on the skins in stainless steel vats at controlled temperature with local yeasts for about 15 days.

Notes: Bright ruby red. On the nose, hints of red fruits, particularly cherry and raspberry. Dry, fresh, with persistent but silky tannins. The freshness of this wine makes it suitable for all types of dishes; pairs especially well with charcuterie and semi-aged cheeses.
