In a few words: A delightful, balanced wine that is both refreshing and soft, with plenty fresh fruit throughout. Guaranteed to please most palates!
Site: White Lugana clay, relatively flat, south shore of Lago di Garda’s original watershed. 4,000 plants per vineyard.
Grapes: 100% Turbiana
Turbiana is also known as Trebbiano di Lugana, and has no relationship to the Trebbiano found in Tuscany and other areas of central and southern Italy.
Fermentation and Aging: Settled in stainless steel and bottled in the spring following the vintage. About 80K bottles produced.
Notes: Brilliant straw yellow in color with greenish highlights, and additional golden reflections with ageing. Fragrance of ripe melon, citrus, and stone fruits with a hint of mint and floral accent. Full bodied and honeyed when entering the palate. Tremendous fruit, nicely matched with bright and refreshing acidity. Balanced with a long mineral finish. Excellent as an aperitif, or with pasta, seafood and freshwater fish.
