In a few words: Rich, warm, and robust with a lively finish.
Site: This Nebbiolo comes from the sandy vineyards of Montaldo Roero. Approx. 3200 vines planted on 0.8 hectares. Southeast exposure, 350 meters above sea level with an average slope of more than 30 percent. Manual harvest in mid-September.
Grapes: 100% Nebbiolo
Fermentation and Aging: The fermentation is carried out at a controlled temperature of around 28 °C, with delicate, frequent pumping of the must over the skins. After a medium-long maceration on the skins of around 200 hours, the new wine is transferred into stainless steel, where the spontaneous malolactic fermentation takes place. Aging: Langhe Nebbiolo is matured for 6 months, partly in oak; it is then refined in the bottle for 2 months.
Notes: Ruby-red color with delicate garnet reflections. Complex and fruity aroma with fine scents of violet. Rich, warm, robust mouth with long-lasting finish providing smooth tannic sensations. Annual production about 3500 bottles.
