In a few words: Forget everything you’ve heard about Merlot and just enjoy the pure deliciousness of this wine!
Site: From the vineyards of sunny Languedoc. The main winegrower is located near Nimes, at Saint Genies de Magloire, north of Montpellier, a site with very good clay and limestone soil. Vines are low yielding, at around 65 hectoliters per hectare, which allows for a dense and well-balanced wine.
Grapes: 100% Merlot, harvested at full maturity.
Fermentation and Aging: Full destemming, long cool maceration with pump-overs.
Notes: Fresh, charming aromatics, balance on the palate, round tannins, and an extremely pleasing finish. Try it with grilled beef or hamburgers. Pizza, pasta, casseroles, charcuterie. Roast or braised chicken.
