Winery: Domaine La Croix St Laurent
Region: Loire Valley
Locale: Bué dans la Cher, France
Appellation: Sancerre
Designation: AOC
In a few words: A balanced, full flavored, clean, crisp wine.
Site: From 30 year old vines planted in 2.5 hectares of soils composed of flint and limestone, the grapes are hand-harvested in early September, sorted and directly pressed.
Grapes: 100% Pinot Noir
Fermentation and Aging: Fermentation lasts 15 days with temperature control in stainless steel and then left to rest on the lees for 5 months until bottling.
Notes: Exuberant aromatics of peach, grapefruit, and apricot. On the palate, the full force of fruit melts into a smooth and harmonious balance with an incredibly long finish. Delicious as an aperitif, or paired with white meats, Asian and Indian cuisine, and seafood.
