In a few words: Graceful, elegant and ripe.
Site: 10 hectare plot of 50 year old vines in Brouilly, the largest of the 10 Crus of Beaujolais. Substrate is rose-colored granite and porphyrus (Purple Granite) mixed with sand and stones, with deeper reserves of clay.
Grapes: 100% Gamay Noir
Fermentation and Aging: Traditional whole cluster fermentation, with 15 day maceration. Aged for 9 months.
Notes: Aromatic nose, with strawberry and raspberry summer fruit aromas. Round, delicate palate with a mineral finish. Perfect for pairing with a burger, white meat, tuna or grilled salmon. This is the winery’s largest production and therefore most important wine. Over 50% of this wine's production in sold in Paris! Can easily age 2-5 years.
