In a few words: Beautifully balanced; a pretty palate.
Site: 5 hectare plot of 70 year old vines, in the newest Beaujolais Cru, Régnié near the hamlet of Siberie. Stony, white and pink granite soil with old alluvial deposits.
Grapes: 100% Gamay Noir
Fermentation and Aging: 100% whole cluster fermentation with no added CO2. No destemming, which protects the grapes naturally from oxidation. 15 day maceration. There is a continuous control of the temperatures. The wine is aged in stainless steel tanks and foudre.
Notes: Extremely pretty, with beautiful, refreshing aromatics of strawberry and cherry, and a nicely balanced palate. The perfect partner for mixed salads, terrines and grilled fish. Very charming during its first summer, it will evolve favorably for 2 to 3 years.
