Grignolino d'Asti

Rinaldi_Figli_Grignolino-100.jpgWinery: Francesco Rinaldi & Figli
Region:
Piemonte (Piedmont)
Locale:
Barolo, Italy
Appellation: Grignolino d'Asti
Designation: DOC

In a few words: A young and delicate wine, light ruby red in colour. It combines a refined and characteristic taste to its original and fruity bouquet.

Site: Estate grown on the family’s vineyards.

Grapes: 100% Grignolino, selected and hand-picked in the vineyard toward the middle of September.

Fermentation and Aging: A rather short fermentation takes place in stainless steel tanks. After decanting and some months of aging in another tank, it is bottled.

Notes: Griginolino is an indigenous, and rather rare varietal, in Rinaldi’s hands making classically Piemontese wines - more about the aromatics than the color, gorgeous focus, and substantial body despite the almost rosato-like color.

Vintage: 2012
