Macon-Villages

Winery: Les Vignerons de Mancey
Region:
Burgundy (Mâconnais)
Locale:
Mancey
Appellation:  Macon-Villages

Site: Vineyards on the slopes of Royer and Martailly les Brancion, with eastern and southwest exposure; soils clay layered with calcareous stone.

Grapes: 100% Chardonnay

Fermentation and Aging: The harvest is moved quickly to the press to protect from any risk of oxidation. After gentle pressing, the must is chilled and settled for 18-24 hours. The clear juice is racked into temperature controlled fermenters for a slow, cool fermentation. The wines are bottled in the spring following the harvest, after undergoing malolactic fermentation.

Notes: Pale golden color with hints of green. Intense aromas of white flowers and fruit. On the palate, the attack is lively and fresh, while the texture of the wine is soft, supple, and round.
